Full Job Description
Love aesthetic medicine? Plastic surgeon’s office looking for a full time Physician’s Assistant to assist in all aspects of patient care both surgical and injectable aesthetic treatments. You will apply medical techniques and principles during and after surgery under the direction of a physician and you will deal with a diverse set of patients offering them care and encouragement. You will also be exposed to the aesthetic injectable side of the practice. Great opportunity to learn and/or perfect your craft in Botox and filler injections.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-op consultations, going over medical history, preop clearance testing
- Go over pre and post op instructions with the patient.
- Assist during surgery/suturing a plus
- Issue appropriate prescriptions and administer medicine
- Inform physicians about any problems or discrepancies that might arise
- Conduct post op care, monitoring progress, wound care, suture removal, etc.
- Provide comprehensive cosmetic consultations for non-surgical aesthetic treatments educating patients on different services
- Inject Botox & injectables and perform skin care treatments
- Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards
Skills
- Work experience as a physician assistant in a surgical setting or a keen interest in surgery
- Knowledge of medical guidelines and procedures regarding examination, therapy and recovery
- Suture experience a plus
- Familiarity with advancements in medical technology and current know-how
- Strong interest in aesthetics
- Friendly, caring bedside manner
- Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task
- Keen skill and/or interest in learning aesthetic treatments such as injecting Botox, Injectables, Lasers
- Team player with good communication skills
- Masters in Physician Assistant Studies
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
