Monday – Friday 7 am to 3 pm – Excluding holidays
4 Year Contract
Duties:
- First Aid and fitness for duty evaluations post minor injuries.
- Conduct work-related post-injury evaluations, complete post-injury paperwork, and perform follow-ups promptly.
- Ongoing, open communications (i.e. responsiveness to texts, calls, emails, virtual and in-person meetings) every week and as needed.
- Weekly reports
- Treatment of all types of traumas: The Physician Assistant(s) will determine which traumas can be treated on-site, escalation as needed, and follow-up for transfers to the Emergency room.
- Administer proper wound care for injuries, ensuring timely and effective treatment.
- Prepare medical treatment reports, keep accurate medical records, and provide data reporting.
- Provide testimony as necessary or as requested. Time of providing testimony will be paid for.
- Perform assessments and minor treatments in connection with injury-on-duty evaluations, and referrals to additional health care practitioners as deemed necessary.
- Other on-site services mutually agreed upon.
Qualifications:
- Valid and current BLS and CPR certifications
- Valid Physicians Assistant license in NYS.
- Must be certified to perfom DOT exams
- Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to health-related emergencies.
- Compassionate, responsible, and reliable with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a safe, supportive environment.
- Two professional references/letters of recommendation
