Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our pediatric healthcare practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support in delivering comprehensive pediatric care, working closely with a full-time pediatrician in a collaborative and family-centered environment. This role involves performing patient assessments, assisting with diagnoses and treatments, and offering health education to children and their families. The Physician Assistant will play an integral part in ensuring the highest standard of care for our young patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough patient assessments, including taking medical histories, conducting physical exams, and identifying health concerns in pediatric patients.
  • Collaborate closely with the pediatrician to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Assist with diagnostic procedures, including ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, imaging, and other evaluations.
  • Provide treatment for common pediatric conditions and assist in managing chronic illnesses as directed by the supervising pediatrician.
  • Support routine well-child visits, including developmental screenings and vaccination administration.
  • Educate children and their families on preventive care, treatment plans, and managing acute or chronic conditions.
  • Offer guidance and reassurance to parents, addressing concerns about their child’s health and development.
  • Assist in coordinating referrals to specialists or additional healthcare services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation in compliance with healthcare standards.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant with authorization to practice under physician supervision.
  • Preferred experience in pediatrics or working with children in clinical settings.
  • Strong skills in patient assessment, communication, and care coordination.
  • Compassionate and approachable demeanor, with a focus on family-centered care.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a busy pediatric practice.

Pay: $143,075.00 – $150,786.00 per year
