Phillips 66 & YOU – Together we can fuel the future The Occupational Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will work at the Phillips 66 Refinery in Linden, NJ and report to the Regional Medical Director. This position will also provide support to other local and regional business, including Mid-Stream Business, under the scope of P66 Health Services. Responsibilities May Include: Performing pre-employment and regulatory medical examinations, including interpreting labs, EKGs, PFTs, and audiograms Conducting DOT exams Conducting Substance Abuse Testing Assisting with patient referrals to primary care physicians or specialists, as indicated Appropriately evaluating, treating, and documenting occupational and limited non-occupational health injuries and illnesses Performing return to work evaluations, clearances, and fitness for duty examinations Maintaining confidential personnel medical records using an electronic medical record Serving as a resource to employees through health education and assistance with health promotions Assisting with management of medical absences to insure timely return-to-work Promoting employee wellness and fitness Counseling employees regarding safety sensitive medical issues Promoting working relationships with community health and safety resources Ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulatory requirements as they pertain to medical issues Responding to on-site medical emergencies, as deemed necessary Taking on the leadership role that ensures the goals and the vision of Phillips 66 are relayed to the team, employees are recognized when warranted, and positive team morale is established and maintained Required Qualifications: Legally authorized to work in the job posting country Master’s degree in nursing (APRN) or in PA studies Advanced practice provider training from an accredited US Program (certified APRN OR certified PA-C) Current licensure in state of practice Occupational Health training & certification 2 or more years of advance practice in occupational medicine, adult primary care, or urgent care practice Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Information can be found at https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic Preferred Qualifications: CPR and ACLS training Strong knowledge and experience with regulations affecting Occupational & Environmental Health and Safety Skill level in evaluation, selection, and implementation of progressive levels of digital OH technology including EHR, and its effective use in Health Care Management Ability and experience effectively working in multidisciplinary teams Be able to prioritize & manage tasks effectively, balance multiple activities/objectives, cope with occasionally high levels of work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment & deliver results Ability to lead and or participate in moderate complexity local and regional projects Ability to develop and express ideas and opinions concisely Fluency in English. Good verbal & written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills The Bayway Refinery is located on the New York Harbor in Linden, New Jersey. Bayway’s facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, solvent deasphalting, hydrodesulfurization and alkylation units. The complex also includes a polypropylene plant with the capacity to produce up to 775 million pounds per year. The refinery processes mainly light and medium, low-sulfur crude oil. Foreign crude oil is supplied to the refinery by tanker, and domestic crude oil is supplied through a combination of rail and marine transportation. The refinery produces a high percentage of transportation fuels, as well as petrochemical feedstocks, residual fuel oil and home heating oil. Refined products are distributed to East Coast customers by pipeline, barge, rail car and truck.
