OverviewWe seek a dedicated, patient-centric and skilled Physician Assistant to join our spine care team. The ideal candidate will work closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in an inpatient setting. This role requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Assist in the diagnosis and management of patient conditions, including performing procedures such as gastric lavage and catheterization.
- Administer treatments and medications as prescribed, including dialysis and ventilation support.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives to advance medical knowledge and improve patient outcomes.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (Cerner) and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health management, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Perform phlebotomy as needed for diagnostic testing.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
- Operating Room experience is a plus.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with active state licensure.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and clinical practices relevant to inpatient care.
- Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Cerner, is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating leadership skills when necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Pay: $107,442.00 – $134,290.00 per year
