Part-Time Physician Assistant (PA) or Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)

We are immediately hiring a part-time surgical Physician Assistant (PA) or Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to support a board-certified bariatric and general surgeon affiliated with CentraState Healthcare System and Hackensack Meridian Health. Recent graduates welcomed. Clinical training provided. Job location: Freehold, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s health and provide outstanding patient care before, during and after surgery.
• Issue appropriate prescriptions and administer medication.
• Promptly & efficiently advise MDs about patient or operational issues or complications.
• Carefully review patient medical histories and identify any potential contraindicators or special circumstances.
• Monitor patients’ progress and maintain detailed records of care treatment plan.
• Manage patient emergencies and urgent issues.
• Assist the surgeon in performing routine and complex operations.
• Provide therapeutic support treatments (disinfecting wounds, stitching, etc.)
• Cultivate a patient relationship of skill, trust and compassion.
• Comply strictly with all medical care regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate professionally at all times with administrative and clinical colleagues at Prime Surgicare and hospital teams.
• Oversee new GLP1 weight loss program at Freehold office.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or RNFA educational program.
• New Jersey license and certification.
• Prior experience preferred, but not required.
• New graduates welcomed. Training provided.
• Comfortable multitasking and working with colleagues and surgical patients.
• Must have proven ability to work in a team environment and provide outstanding care and support to patients and loved ones in a manner that instills confidence, clarity and mutual understanding.
