Englewood Health Medical Center (EHMC) is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dedicated and growing vascular surgery team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal skills, meticulous documentation, and clinical expertise to support high-quality patient care.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conducts and documents comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations for patients in consultation.
- Performs clinical assessments for post-operative vascular surgery patients, including wound assessments, suture removals, dressing changes, and follow-up visits.
- Orders and documents pre-admission testing; provides thorough peri-operative counseling and pre-operative education as needed.
- Communicates effectively with referring and consulting physicians, ensuring coordinated patient care.
- Responds to patient and family inquiries, as well as questions from visiting nurses and acute/sub-acute facilities regarding vascular surgery care plans.
Renews prescription medications, facilitates outpatient testing, and assists with disability forms when required.
Department: Vascular Surgery Location: Englewood, NJ Status: Full-Time Hours: 9AM-5PM
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-2 years in vascular surgery preferred; office experience is advantageous.
- Education: Master’s Degree required.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- For Nurse Practitioner (APRN): Current NJ Advanced Practice Nurse License, BLS and ACLS certifications, CDS and DEA licenses.
- For Physician Assistant (PA): Current NJ PA license, NCCPA certification, BLS and ACLS certifications, CDS and DEA licenses.
