Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including preventative health screenings, vital signs, and medical history reviews.
- Assist in diagnostic evaluation by ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures like radiology or ultrasound.
- Provide patient education on health coaching
- Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations and ICD coding standards (ICD-9/10).
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems hospital-based electronic health records.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology to support accurate diagnosis.
- Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes along with ICD coding standards for documentation accuracy.
- Competence in telehealth platforms to deliver remote patient consultations effectively.
