We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as an Orthopedic Physician Assistant. This vital role involves providing expert clinical support and patient care in orthopedic medicine to enhance the quality of life for our patients.
Key Responsibilities for an Orthopedic Physician Assistant
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and collaborate with orthopedic surgeons to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to support the accurate diagnosis of musculoskeletal disorders.
- Assist in surgical procedures and provide post-operative care, including wound management and follow-up evaluations.
- Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatments, and preventive measures to ensure informed healthcare decisions.
- Document patient progress and treatment efficacy, adjusting care plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.
Schedule and Shift Details
This is a full-time position with a weekday schedule. Monday-Friday; 2 OR days, 2 clinical days, & 1 admin day. Offsite call 1:4 weekdays and one weekend per month.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a valid license in the state of New Hampshire (NH)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic surgery or related clinical setting preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a focus on orthopedics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to deliver high-quality patient care.
