Full Job Description

Manchester Urology at Nashua is seeking a NURSE PRACTITIONER OR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT to work in the Nashua locations. The ADVANCED PHYSICIAN PROVIDER (APP) will work under the direct supervision of the Physicians to give quality treatment and follow-up care in a medical in the office or hospital setting. The majority of this position job role with be treating patients in an office setting. The APP will also be asked to Round on patients at the two Hospitals in Nashua. This APP will be assigned to work with a Physician that specializes in general urology with a focus on Men’s Health

Nurse Practitioner Role and Responsibilities:

Duties included care and management of patients in the office, ordering diagnostic laboratory and radiology testing, interprets physical findings, determines diagnoses, and carries out treatment plans.

Provides continuity of care for patients with catheter changes and medication treatment management.

Is responsible for seeing Same Day patients with urological issues.

Refers patients to supervising Physician when the patient’s conditions are complex.

Conducts Telemedicine and telephone triage including assessing the patient’s medical needs and coordinating patient care.

Assists with patient’s questions, medication refills, and results daily ensuring the patient receives answers promptly.

Support Physician with Men’s Health procedures.

Completes pre-operative tasks and post-operative care.

Willing to be trained to perform Urodynamic procedures.

Uses feedback from Physicians and Practice Manager to improve processes.

Requirements:

Must be currently licensed in the State of New Hampshire Nurse Practitioner with a valid Medicare NPI number.

Strong clinical skills – clinical experience in an office or clinic setting preferred but not required.

Knowledge of medical guidelines and procedures related to urology – preferred but not required.

Must be willing and motivated to learn new skills.

Solid problem-solving skills.

Must be able to multi-task

Able to work in a fast paced environment.

Caring and compassionate.

Excellent communication skills.

Licensure and Education:

Licensure: Current license in good standing with the State of New Hampshire Board of Medicine
