Nurse Practitioner Job Description

Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly in pediatrics and hospital settings. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients, performing esthetic laser treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for discharge planning and implementing care plans while adhering to aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
  • Perform esthetic laser treatments as required.
  • Provide care for pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Engage in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions from hospital to home or other care settings.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
  • Document patient interactions accurately, including coding for billing purposes.
  • Monitor patients’ conditions and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Utilize ventilatory support systems when needed in critical situations.
  • Maintain high standards of aseptic technique during all procedures.

Schedule: 7a-7a or 7p-7a, specific dates

Setting: Level II NICU, 8 beds

Daily Volume: 3-8 patients

Support Staff: MD, APP, nursing RT

Must be board-certified

Experience

  • Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred, with a focus on pediatrics or critical care (PICU).
  • Familiarity with esthetic laser treatment procedures is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of discharge planning processes and patient care systems.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective patient interaction.

Pay: $118,825.00 – $150,000.00 per year
