Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and be committed to providing high-quality patient care across various settings. This role involves working with diverse patient populations, including toddlers and individuals with disabilities, and may include responsibilities in emergency medicine and behavioral health. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide care for patients in various settings, including acute pain management and emergency situations.
- Administer esthetic laser treatments as required.
- Monitor and manage patients with behavioral health issues.
- Utilize Cerner or similar electronic health record systems for documentation and patient management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level II Trauma Center environment.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and best practices in nursing.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Weekend call every 7-8 weeks
Setting: 10-bed unit
Patient Volume: Up to 8 per day
Patient Population: Ages 3-25
Average Length of Stay: 10 days
Cases: Acute psychiatric and substance-related disorder care
Support Staff: 7 MDs, 8 APPs, RNs, social workers, clinical director, nurse manager, direct care supervisors, education coordinators
Must be board-certified

Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
- Experience or training in toddler care, infant care, and working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and acute pain management techniques.
- Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to the practice setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $140,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
