Expert Medical Services (EMS) is a group of home visiting medical providers covering the entire state of New York since 2005. We specialize in providing high-value in-home and virtual assessments and care for the homebound elderly population. Our patient engagement aims to evaluate current health status, identify gaps in care, potential health risks, and care management opportunities, with a focus on driving better clinical outcomes.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide home visits and telehealth visits to conduct initial diagnostic evaluation, treatment, and follow-up.

Primary Duties:

  • Conduct home visit and telehealth clinical evaluations, assessments, and medication management.
  • Maintain appropriate clinical charting with complete notes required of all clinical activities and up-to-date problem and medication lists, within the standards of community practice, generally accepted treatment guidelines, and requirements of EMS.
  • Arrive for visits on time and remain present throughout each session, collaborate with support staff, follow EMS procedures/practice guidelines, and accommodate emergency visits if needed.

  • Participate in performance improvement and quality assurance activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited PA program acceptable to NYSED.
  • Active PA certification and registration in NYS.
  • Minimum 2-year clinical experience interacting with patients in a fast-paced home visit, hospital, nursing home, clinic, or community health center environment.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with elderly and chronically ill patients and families.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with the underserved patient population in conjunction with mental illness.
  • Previous home visit experience.
  • Previous experience with the geriatric population.
  • Fluent in English and bilingual in Spanish/Creole/Mandarin/Cantonese/Russian is a plus.

Salary: Up to $160,000.00 per year
