Full Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests;
  • Answers consults from the ED and other wards for Urology and Orthopedics;
  • Evaluates and provides appropriate intervention (in conjunction with supervising surgeon) for ER and nursing home patients;
  • Implements therapeutic intervention for specific conditions when appropriate;
  • Formulates and implements discharge planning and clinical follow-up in conjunction with surgeon;
  • Dictates discharge summaries;
  • Performs first assistant duties in all surgical procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
  • Current BLS certification required;
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program, required;
  • Current Board Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), required;
  • D.E.A. Certificate, required;
  • Licensed Physician Assistant by the New York State Department of Education, required;
  • Infection Control Certificate, required

Pay: $110,000.00 – $170,000.00 per year
