Overview:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting physicians in various medical procedures. Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement appropriate treatment plans- Provide direct patient care, including prescribing medications, administering treatments, and performing minor surgical procedures- Monitor and manage patients in critical care settings such as the ICU- Assist in pain management procedures and techniques- Interpret medical records, lab results, and imaging studies- Perform triage assessments to determine the urgency of patient needs- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment options, and self-care techniques- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Cerner to document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records- Stay up-to-date with current medical practices, guidelines, and regulations
Requirements:- Valid Physician Assistant license in [state/region]- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or related field- Minimum [X] years of experience working as a Physician Assistant in a clinical setting- Proficient in performing medical procedures such as ventilating patients and assisting with cardiac catheterization- Strong knowledge of medical standards, protocols, and guidelines- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding system for accurate diagnosis coding- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members- Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
