The Floating Hospital provides exceptional and compassionate healthcare to families in need. The Floating Hospital welcomes individuals of all ages, from infants, school age children (5+), youth and adults.
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for immediate, full-time placement at our Long Island City location: 21-01 41st Avenue and our sites in Brooklyn. Auburn Assessment Center 39 Auburn Place Brooklyn, NY 11205 Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Legacy: 108-75 Avenue D Brooklyn, NY 11236 Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, primary responsibilities include:
- Provide primary care.
- Perform well-care examinations.
- Distribute medications to patients.
- Communicate with case workers.
- Encourage health promotion, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
Requirements:
- Education: Candidate must possess a valid NYS Family NP or PA license and must be Board Certified.
- Experience: Must have experience treating patients of all ages.
- Prior experience with electronic medical record (AthenaHealth preferred) a must.
- Language: Bi-lingual (Spanish) desirable.
