Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Skilled Nursing Facility
Do you want to make an Impact? Enjoy working with the Geriatric population? We are seeking to hire a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team to provide medical care and training within a skilled nursing facility.
Must be willing to work/travel to facilities across the Queens/Nassau County region (only one facility per day).
No on-call
Responsibilities:
Perform routine check-ups to patients to assess their health condition and discover possible issues.Conduct examinations on acute changes in condition.Communicate with resident families or appointed representative regarding resident status.Manage and prescribe pharmaceuticals.Collaborate with providers, DON/ADON, nursing staff, support staff, and administration with a goal of improved patient care.Consult and utilize specialty services as required to provide comprehensive care to residents.
Requirements:
- 8 hours on site
- Medical degree from accredited program.
- Board certified in field of practice.
- Active NY license to practice in field.
- Self-motivated.
- Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Respect for patient’s confidentiality.
- Compassionate and approachable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $160,000.00 – $165,000.00 per year
