UBMD Pediatrics is one of 18 practice plans within UBMD Physicians’ Group, the single largest medical group in Western New York. We provide premier health care to infants, children, adolescents and adults. In addition to primary care pediatrics, we have 18 pediatric subspecialties. Key Responsibilities

Responsible for providing pediatric emergency care coverage at John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital Emergency Department including Kids Express (fast track/urgent care). You must be able to obtain a complete history and physical exam on emergency department patients and formulate a plan of action regarding diagnosis and treatment in accordance with established protocols, order diagnostic tests, contact primary care providers, provide discharge instructions and identify and discuss cases that are complex with the Emergency Department Attending and consultants. Flexibility in scheduling is required. On the job procedural training and procedural sedation training will also be required and provided. The job will include a split of shifts that include both daytime, evening and partial overnight shifts, that includes weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Requirements: Current professional license as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant with board certification. Certification with PALS is also required.

Education: Graduate of an accredited PA, Family or PNP Program; M.S.N. and NYS certification as a nurse practitioner or bachelor’s degree and successful completion of accredited physician assistant program.

Experience: Experience with pediatrics, urgent care or emergency department work is preferred.

Other Requirements: Current state registered nurse license. Current state license as an advanced registered nurse practitioner or physician assistant with prescriptive authority. Current CPR certification.

* The pay range shown is an estimate of possible base compensation that may be given to a qualified applicant at the time of posting. When setting pay, various factors will be taken into account such as but not limited to location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, professional credentials, internal equity, and budget.

Pay: $95,000.00 – $114,000.00 per year
