Full Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team — bread and butter GI and primary care. This is all outpateint and clinic setting. Generally, 9-5 weekdays. Spanish a Plus and Bonus incentives available. Job is mainly Bay Ridge and south Brooklyn but may include lower Manhattan.
The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in various medical settings. This role requires a strong commitment to patient health, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
- Utilize electronic health record systems, including PracticeFusion
- Assist in research initiatives to improve clinical practices and patient outcomes.
- Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine settings to ensure continuity of care.
Skills
- Proficient in outpatient clinic
- Spanish is a Plus
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient care processes.
