OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diverse clinical settings, including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, critical care, and outpatient clinics. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, and eClinicalWorks is essential. This role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care across various specialties, including acute pain management, infectious disease care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and palliative medicine. The Physician Assistant will play a vital role in patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, and procedures such as suturing and injection administration.

Duties

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and intake evaluations
• Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, laboratory data collection, and clinical research protocols
• Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties such as internal medicine, emergency medicine, ICU care, neonatal ventilator management, and hospice & palliative medicine
• Administer medications and injections following aseptic techniques while adhering to HIPAA regulations
• Assist in procedures including suturing, dermal fillers, dermabrasion, spinal taps, gastric lavage, catheterization (including cardiac catheterization), and airway management
• Document medical records accurately using EMR systems like Epic and Cerner; ensure compliance with NCQA standards
• Provide patient education on health coaching, medication adherence, nutrition, family planning, addiction counseling, and post-discharge instructions
• Participate in clinical trials and research activities to advance medical knowledge and patient outcomes
• Support hospital-based functions such as discharge planning, infection control protocols, ventilator management, dialysis coordination, and post-acute care planning
• Engage in telehealth consultations to expand access to care in outpatient settings

Experience

• Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks
• Skilled in performing physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations across diverse patient populations
• Background in pain management
• Familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes
