Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in primary and urgent care settings and be comfortable working with patients of all ages. This role requires a compassionate individual with excellent clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages, including diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, performing physical examinations, and managing overall patient care.
  • Clinical Procedures: Perform minor surgical procedures, wound care, suturing, and other common urgent care interventions.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work, X-rays, and EKGs.
  • Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment options.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies in a calm and effective manner, providing appropriate treatment and stabilization.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Certification: Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Licensure: Valid NY state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in primary and urgent care settings.

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Additional certifications in areas such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Pay: $85.00 – $90.00 per hour
