Full Job Description

Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a NP or PA , you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and assisting in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various medical conditions. Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, medical imaging, and other diagnostic procedures
  • Work alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, providing high-quality care to patients in an urgent care setting
  • Have the opportunity to manage adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Play an integral role in accurately diagnosing and treating a wide range of ailments.
  • Contribute to our positive and supportive medical community 

Skills:

  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience in various medical specialties such as acute care, occupational health, and hospice palliative medicine
  • 1 year of experience in emergency medicine or 18 months of experience in a high-volume urgent care setting, including the ability to manage adult and pediatric patients
  • Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York
  • Experience administering injections and performing minor procedures
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their conditions and treatment plans
  • Ability to triage patients efficiently based on their medical needs
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address complex healthcare issue
  • Physician Assistant – Active board certification with NCCPA is required
  • Family Nurse Practitioner – Active board certification with AANP or ANCC is required

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience in emergency medicine or 3+ years of experience in a high-volume urgent care setting, including the ability to manage adult and pediatric patients
  • Proficiency in conducting physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating accurate diagnoses

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Local contract, Per diem

Pay: $52.00 – $88.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
