Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant for a Per diem position in the Emergency Department at Carewell Health in East Orange, NJ
Schedule will be 2-3 shifts per month
Duties:- Provide comprehensive patient care under the supervision of a physician- Perform physical examinations and take detailed medical histories- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies- Develop and implement treatment plans- Administer medications, including injections and pain management techniques- Perform minor surgical procedures, such as suturing and wound care- Provide care for patients across the lifespan, including pediatrics and geriatrics- Conduct triage assessments to determine the urgency of patient needs
Experience:- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a clinical setting
Requirements:- Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (PA-C)- Valid NJ state license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team environment- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
