Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in pain management to join our healthcare team in Las Vegas and Pahrump, Nevada. The ideal candidate will collaborate with physicians to evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic pain conditions. This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving patients’ quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care and Diagnosis:
- Conduct comprehensive medical histories, physical exams, and pain assessments.
- Interpret diagnostic tests to identify pain conditions.
Treatment Planning:
- Develop and implement personalized pain management plans.
- Prescribe medications and counsel on opioid use in line with guidelines.
Procedures and Monitoring:
- Assist with minor interventional procedures under physician supervision.
- Monitor patient outcomes and provide post-procedure care.
Education and Advocacy:
- Educate patients and families about pain management options and lifestyle changes.
- Encourage self-management for long-term health improvement.
Coordination and Compliance:
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in Nevada.
- NCCPA certification.
- 2-3 years of clinical experience, preferably in pain management or a related field.
- Knowledge of pain management protocols and opioid prescribing guidelines.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience assisting with interventional pain procedures.
- Training in advanced pain management techniques.
Work Environment: The role will be based in clinical settings in Las Vegas and Pahrump. It may involve prolonged periods of standing or sitting and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Benefits:
