DOC is looking to fill a part-time (1-2 days a week) midlevel provider position for a Foot & Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeon. This position is nonsurgical and solely clinical.

Education and Experience:
Must be certified or eligible for certification as a Physician’s Assistant and eligible for prescriptive authority in the State of Nevada. Orthopaedic background preferred.

As a midlevel provider your duties will include:
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations on patients
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work, and medical imaging using an EMR/EHR/EMA
- Prescribe medications and other treatments
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Utilize utilization management techniques to ensure appropriate use of healthcare resources
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a physician’s assistant or other medical fields
- Must Be: Team-player, impeccably reliable, motivated, hard-working, and punctual.
- Willing to take notes, study, and learn to treat patients with the highest level of care.
- Able to work in a high-volume and fast-paced clinic environment.
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and medical staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively in our team, including other team midlevel providers, medical assistants, and the physician.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other relevant software.
- Current state licensure.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or similar.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 – $42.48 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
