OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care to patients across various settings. This position requires a strong foundation in clinical practices and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The Physician Assistant will be involved in diagnosing and treating illnesses, performing procedures, and ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories from patients.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions under the supervision of a physician.
• Administer medications and manage treatment plans for patients, including emergency medicine interventions.
• Assist in surgical procedures in the operating room (OR) as needed.
• Provide care for infectious diseases, ensuring proper protocols are followed for patient safety.
• Utilize ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation of diagnoses and treatments.
• Perform airway management techniques when necessary, ensuring patient stability.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care in hospital medicine settings, including the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• Participate in home care visits to assess and manage patients in their living environments.
• Stay updated on advancements in medical practices and participate in continuous education.

Skills

• Proficiency in emergency medicine practices and protocols.
• Strong knowledge of medication administration techniques and safety measures.
• Experience working in an operating room environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with infectious disease care protocols and treatment options.
• Competence in using ICD-10 coding for accurate medical record keeping.
• Ability to perform airway management effectively during critical situations.
• Understanding of radiation therapy principles as they relate to patient care.
• Experience in hospital medicine, particularly within pediatric settings such as PICU.
• Capability to provide compassionate home care services that meet patient needs.

Pay: $127,213.00 – $136,438.00 per year
