Part-time Physician assistant position available at busy interventional pain management practice in Omaha, NE. Innovative Pain and Spine Specialists is a multiple-provider practice seeking to support the considerable growth we have enjoyed. Responsibilities include seeing new and established patients, developing care plans, educating patients, doing office procedures, and always evaluating and treating patients to achieve optimal patient care. Compensation commensurate with experience. Weekday schedule / no call / no weekends / no holidays. Job Responsibilities:
- Promote and maintain patient health by providing medical and medication management when appropriate.
- Understand and recommend interventional treatment of the spine when appropriate.
- Conduct and analyze drug testing protocols.
- Perform in-office injections and procedures as skills allow.
- Collaborate effectively with physician, nurses, and all office staff.
- Communicate patient progress with referring physicians.
- Maintain thorough and accurate medical records.
- Post-operative wound management.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Job Requirements:
- Current Nebraska and DEA license.
- Current DEA waiver to prescribe buprenorphine or willingness to complete training to achieve licensure.
- PA-C certification or pending certification.
- Pain management experience NOT required.
