Full Job Description

Position Summary:The Part-Time Physician Assistant will provide care exclusively for patients of three internal medicine physicians (Dr. Jain, Dr. McMillian, and Dr. Triggs) one day per week for each physician, allowing them to take a full day off. You will work closely with each physician’s existing nurse and use their office for your assigned day, ensuring a seamless transition of care for their patients.

This role guarantees 32 hours per week, making the position eligible for benefits. Additional opportunities to provide full-time coverage (up to 12 weeks annually) are available during physician vacations.

Schedule:

• 3 days per week, including Monday, Thursday, and Friday. With addition of documentation hours needed to complete charts and meet 32 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care to patients, including physical exams, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Prescribe medications and therapies per clinic protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.
• Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Educate patients on chronic disease management, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Assist in coordination of care, including referrals to specialists when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in physician assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current PA licensure in the state of Nebraska.
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• At least 2 years of experience in internal medicine or primary care preferred.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in EMR systems and the ability to adapt to a dynamic clinic environment.
• Flexibility to provide additional coverage as needed.

Pay: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour
