Job Summary
The primary role of this position is to provide quality healthcare services to children, youth, families, and adults.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Obtain patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and prescribe medications
2. Screen consumers for admission to Mental Health programs; collect history, perform physical
assessments, complete consultations, make appropriate referrals/consults, order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic tests, manage medications
3. Maintain progress notes and treatment plans
4. Performing appropriate patient education, applying preventive health care measures for the consumer and case management as needed
5. Communicate and interact effectively with treatment teams including other mental health, nursing, medical staff, and other agencies/entities to provide quality care to consumers
6. Properly document within the physical medical record as well as the electronic medical record
7. Understand the needs of the organization and support the mission, values, and management of

Requirements
- NC state license
- Adult only experience required
- Children, adolescents and adult experience is preferred
- Psych certification preferred but not required. (salary will be partly based on this)
