Full Job Description
Our fast-growing, independent gastroenterology practice is seeking a compassionate and motivated PA-C to join our team. This role is primarily clinic-based, with rotating coverage at the hospital to support inpatient consultations and continuity of care alongside our physician team.
About the Role
- Primary Setting: Outpatient gastroenterology clinic – evaluation, diagnosis, follow-up care, chronic disease management, and patient education.
- Hospital Rotation: Scheduled rotation to local hospital to assist with inpatient consults, rounding, and coordination with hospital-based providers.
- Work collaboratively with a supportive team of board-certified gastroenterologists, experienced NP/PA colleagues, nurses, and administrative support staff.
- Enjoy a Monday–Friday schedule with no overnight call unless interested in additional compensated call opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations, histories, and physicals in clinic.
- Manage GI-related conditions including GERD, IBD, liver disease, IBS, and post-procedure follow-ups.
- Coordinate care plans, order diagnostics, review lab/imaging results, and provide patient education.
- Participate in rotational hospital consult coverage alongside GI physicians.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR.
- Foster strong relationships with patients, referring providers, and hospital partners.
Qualifications
- Current PA-C license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain).
- Previous experience in gastroenterology, internal medicine, or hospital medicine preferred—but new graduates are welcome to apply and will receive structured onboarding.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative care team.

HOURS:
Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday 8:00am – 2:00pm
This position would work in all 3 of our clinics, as well as rotate in the hospital for a full week every 8 weeks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $66,588.83 – $80,193.00 per year
