Integrative Health Assistant Position
Position Overview: The Integrative Health Assistant is responsible for assisting with all client, patient, and staff needs in relation to the Integrative Health program at Animal Ark Veterinary Hospital (this includes VSMT, Acupuncture, Rehab, as well as Regenerative Medicine therapies such as PRP and Stem Cell treatments). This role assists in ensuring that patients of all species—canine, feline, and exotic—receive appropriate, safe, and effective care. The Integrative Health Assistant collaborates closely with the doctors providing spinal manipulation therapy, acupuncture, rehabilitative care, and regenerative medicine treatments. This position will also collaborate with the “Clemmons Animal Rehab & Therapy” staff and Integrative Health Leads. This includes coordinating scheduling and follow-up care, carrying out patient treatments as prescribed by the CCRP Veterinarian, and promoting client understanding of the benefits and applications of different Integrative Health modalities, including regenerative therapies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Communication and Documentation
- Communicate with Integrative Health leads regarding appointment schedules, including initial evaluations, follow-up sessions, and recheck appointments.
- Oversee patient flow—communicating with leads and doctors as necessary during VSMT, Acupuncture, Rehab, and regenerative medicine appointments to ensure efficiency and a calm, low-stress experience for all species.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all Integrative Health treatments, including regenerative medicine procedures, progress notes, and follow-up recommendations in medical records.
2. Patient Care & Support
- Assist with handling and restraint of patients during VSMT, Rehab, Acupuncture, and regenerative medicine treatments, ensuring safety and comfort for both patients and staff.
- Provide informed support to the assigned doctor during treatments.
- Monitor patients pre- and post-treatment for comfort, response, and recovery, including those undergoing PRP and stem cell therapies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped area for appointments.
3. Client Communication & Education
- Serve as a knowledgeable and approachable resource for clients with questions about Integrative Health modalities, including regenerative medicine (PRP and stem cell therapy), and their role in their pets’ wellness or recovery.
- Provide clear, accurate information on pre- and post-treatment care for patients receiving treatments.
- Assist in explaining regenerative medicine procedures to clients and help facilitate a smooth and informed treatment process.
- Coordinate with the medical team to ensure continuity of care and consistent client communication.
- Support the creation and distribution of educational materials for clients about VSMT, regenerative therapies, and other integrative modalities—their benefits, indications, and safety.
5. Equipment & Supply Management
- Report maintenance needs or replacement requirements to the Inventory Manager or other Integrative Health Lead(s) in a timely manner.
- Ensure the treatment area remains properly stocked and organized, including supplies specific to regenerative medicine procedures.
Qualifications
- Certification or specialized training in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation, Acupuncture, Veterinary Rehabilitation, or experience assisting a certified practitioner of the aforementioned modalities; familiarity with regenerative medicine (PRP and stem cell therapy) preferred.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and species-specific handling techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to educate clients and staff effectively and compassionately.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $16.15 – $20.15 per hour
