Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physiological evaluations.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
• Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, phlebotomy, and administering injections.
• Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, geriatrics, behavioral health, and hospice & palliative medicine.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and medical records management.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care across settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, outpatient clinics, and telehealth platforms.
• Participate in diagnostic evaluations using sonography or medical imaging techniques; assist with procedures like spinal taps or cardiac catheterizations when applicable.

Skills

• Extensive experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those in assisted living or hospice settings.
• Proficiency in EMR/EHR system Athenahealth for documentation and patient data management.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), ICD-10/ICD-9 classifications for accurate diagnosis coding.
• Skilled in performing clinical procedures including sterile techniques like suturing and specimen collection/processing.
• Experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; familiarity with ventilator management and airway control is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform triage effectively in urgent care or emergency room settings; experience with telehealth consultations is a plus.
• Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation law and HIPAA compliance to ensure legal and ethical standards are maintained during patient interactions.
• Capable of managing complex cases involving pain management, medication administration (including controlled substances under DEA regulations), and advanced practice provider responsibilities within collaborative practice agreements.

Pay: $116,396.88 – $140,176.88 per year
