Job Overview

At Holistic Healing Psychiatry, we are redefining mental health care by treating the mind, body, and spirit. We are seeking a motivated, compassionate Medical Assistant who is excited to work in an innovative, trauma-informed psychiatric practice.

This is not a traditional role—our team integrates cutting-edge treatments with holistic care, and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

Duties

  • Assist with Spravato treatment session including the monitoring of patients during and after treatments
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
  • Coordinate scheduling and patient flow
  • Answer the phone and respond to patients’ questions and concerns, providing compassionate patient support and education
  • Assist with prior authorizations and insurance coordination
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment
  • Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, updating records, and verifying insurance information using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision and care
  • Communicate with other staff including the provider
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, offering reassurance, and coordinating follow-up appointments or referrals

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant certification preferred (or relevant clinical experience)
  • Proven experience as a medical assistant in diverse healthcare settings
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
  • Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and scheduling purposes
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks including medication administration, vital signs collection, and intake procedures
  • Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care in outpatient or inpatient settings
  • Experience in psychiatry or behavioral health strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm, attentive, and compassionate in a mental health setting
  • Interest in holistic and integrative approaches to care
  • Comfortable learning new technologies and treatment modalities

Pay: $22.84 – $27.51 per hour
