Job Description:
Independently, or under the direction of a physician, the Ultrasonographer performs ultrasound procedures and patient care requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of prescribed ultrasound techniques for diagnosis and intervention. The Ultrasonographer in the Perinatology Clinic performs high-risk OB Ultrasounds. The Ultrasonographer has the responsibility for diagnostic ultrasound, interventional and other examination procedures and physiology; with independent selection and modification of technical factors to produce optimum results.

Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Preferred: Graduate of Approved School of Medical Sonography or Associates Degree within health science
Experience:
- Required: One year dedicated ultrasound experience OR No experience required with fulfillment of education requirement
- Preferred: Two years dedicated sonography imaging experience
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with different levels of management.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
- Proficient in using computers and computer systems; Proficient in all Microsoft programs; high level proficiency in Excel.
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of current information technology to accomplish automation projects of large size and complexity.
- Excellent time management, interpersonal, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Required: Proof of passing result on ARDMS or ARRT examination.
- Required: R.T. (S) (ARRT) or ARDMS (AB), (OB/GY), (VT) or (MSKS). Verification within 3 months of hire via ARDMS or ARRT website.
Job Summary
The advanced imaging student assists and performs imaging/procedures in the advanced clinical area under the guidance of the physicians and registered advanced imaging staff. Imaging/procedures performed are consistent with the established standard of medical care in radiology, following established policies and protocols to produce optimum images, while keeping patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort a top priority.

- Required: Completed or currently enrolled in an ARRT or ARDMS approved advanced imaging training program.
Experience:
- Preferred: One year of prior health care experience

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Required: One of the following ARRT or ARDMS registries within 6 months of hire or program completion, whichever is last:
