Full Job Description

Orthopedic Health of Kansas City has been a trusted provider of orthopedic care in the Kansas City region for more than 70 years. Our top-rated physicians have built a reputation of unparalleled orthopedic surgery and personal patient care. Each of our 14 orthopedic surgeons are board-certified, fellowship-trained sub-specialist experts in their area of focus. In addition, we have 22 mid-level providers serving patients in North Kansas City and Independence, Missouri as well as Lenexa, Kansas.

We are looking for an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who will work closely with one of our orthopedic surgeons who specializes in hand surgery both in surgery & clinic as well as participate in an equal call rotation with our other non-urgent care mid-level providers.

Responsibilities:

* Evaluate, diagnose and treat acute and chronic orthopedic conditions

* Order and interpret diagnostic tests relative to each patient’s specific need

* Office procedures including injections, aspirations, splinting, suturing, etc.

* Triage and handling of patient related clinical questions and concerns

* Provide clinical support to physicians assisting in both the operating room and office setting as well as rounding on inpatients

* First assist support in the operating room setting

* Provide call coverage on an rotating equal basis with the other non-urgent care mid-level providers
