Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Full Job Description

We are a growing medical practice that specializes in orthopedics, neurosurgery, spine surgery, and interventional pain medicine. Our practice is searching for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who would be responsible for evaluating and managing patients in a clinical office setting. Qualified candidates must be licensed to practice in the State of Missouri.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Obtain a complete and accurate medical history on new and established patients.
• Perform a complete and focused physical examination pertinent to patient complaints to evaluate and diagnose medical conditions.
• Consult with supervising physician in appropriate situations.
• Order imaging, labs, and ancillary tests or procedures as needed to determine nature of illness and appropriate treatment and advise patients and the physician of results.
• Effectively discuss interventional procedures with patients and schedule them when appropriate.
• Work in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary health team and function with a high degree of autonomy.
• Perform procedures such as trigger point injections and joint injections and assist with interventional procedures performed by physician.
• Assure delivery of quality care to all patients in a respectful professional manner.
• Maintain safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, regulations and adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
• Travel as needed between clinics.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Missouri
• Previous experience in interventional pain medicine, orthopedics, spine surgery, or neurosurgery (preferred)
• Experience performing trigger point injections and joint injections (preferred)
• Great interpersonal skills, reliable, and a self-motivator

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
