Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing excellent customer service. This role is essential in creating a positive dining .
Duties
- Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with a warm welcome.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure timely service.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Monitor dining room activity to ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
Skills
- Strong hospitality skills with a passion for helping others.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in guest relations, ensuring all guests feel valued and appreciated.
- Experience in customer service, preferably in food service or restaurant environments.
- Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
- Knowledge of food service operations is a plus, particularly in a hotel or restaurant setting.
