STEP Therapies, Inc. is an independent rehabilitation practice that specializes in the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis and neurological conditions. STEP is seeking a full-time physical therapy assistant, PTA. The perfect candidate is a quick learner, loves to multi-task and is friendly/caring and good with people.
We currently have one full or part-time position in Little Canada.
Responsibilities:
· Directly assist patients with walking, balance and functional exercise
· Follow treatment plans and techniques as directed by PT
· Observe patients, record progress and report to supervising PT
· Document treatment notes, progress and participating in updating plans of care in a timely manner
· Set up, sanitize, and maintain therapy equipment
· Clerical duties as needed/able including answering phones, scheduling appointments, pulling daily charts and printing forms (this would be on weather days or slow days as needed)
Qualifications:
· Current PTA License in MN
· Strong people skills and customer service focus
· Ability to work well as a team member within a busy therapy setting
· Dependable and flexible within weekday regular business hours
· Ability to follow instructions accurately
· Good communication skills and good health
· High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum age 18
· Experience preferred but not required
Job Type: Part Time or Full Time within the hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, no weekends or holidays
Starting Pay: Based on experience. From $30.00 per hour; Full-Time Employment (32 hours or more) eligible for PTO, healthcare insurance, retirement
