Responsibilities

Kasson Clinic is the Family Medicine residency clinic. Advanced practice providers at Kasson have a primarily patient care role seeing outpatients. They also have opportunities to participate regularly in resident education seminars throughout the year and present on various primary care topics. The new APP will be joining a strong team of Family medicine residents, consultants and two experienced APPs.

The NP or PA will work as a team with consultants from Family Medicine and Family Medicine residents. The NP or PA will be involved in population management strategies to improve chronic illness outcomes. The provision of care includes but is not limited to comprehensive evaluation, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescription of pharmacologic agents and treatments, non-pharmacologic therapies, and counseling patients.

Qualifications

  • 3 + years experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in primary care.
  • Previous experience working with pediatric as well as adult patients.
  • Nurse Practitioner: Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP. DNP is preferred.
  • Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice. DMSc is preferred.
  • BLS certification and DEA registration required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • The candidate should be comfortable with autonomy, independent decision making, and possess excellent communication skills.
  • The preferred candidate will be a team player, who is comfortable seeing patients of all ages.
  • They will function as a member of a care team, seeing patients for chronic disease management, preventive care, health promotion and acute care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $106,662.40 – $159,993.60 per year
