Job Description
The Department of Psychiatry has an exciting opportunity for full-time, licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Psychiatry team.
The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri is dedicated to the treatment of patients, education of learners and research into mental illness. The department provides a full array of services including inpatient care at the University of Missouri Psychiatric Hospital (MUPC), 24/7 emergency and hospital consultative services and outpatient adult and child clinics. https://medicine.missouri.edu/departments/psychiatry/.
This position will hold a title of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
Shift
M-F; 8am-5pm
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications – Nurse Practitioner Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required. Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days. Preparation as a nurse practitioner in either a Master’s program or a certificate program. Must be granted a “Document of Recognition” from the Missouri Board of Nursing
Minimum Qualifications – Physician Assistant Physicians Assistant (PA) licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts.
Preferred Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner Preferred: AP/MHNP, F/MHNP, CAQ-Psychiatry, PA-C, strong background in mental/behavioral health.
Physician Assistant Preferred: Certified Physician Assistant (PA) certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). AP/MHNP, F/MHNP, CAQ-Psychiatry, PA-C, strong background in mental/behavioral health.
Anticipated Hiring Range
