Full Job Description

Landmark Hospital of Columbia is in search of an Advanced RN Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner NP) or Physician’s Assistant (PA) to join our dedicated and professional team!

We are a private, small LTAC hospital where we are truly one team working together in a positive environment. Our mid-level providers (NP, PA) work with a dedicated team of Hospitalists and specialists, and a highly skilled interdisciplinary team who work together to meet the patient’s needs. Our patients are medically complex and have an average length of stay of around 25-30 days. This provides us with the privilege of forming more meaningful connections with our patients and witnessing their recovery firsthand.

Summary: The Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician’s Assistant (PA) works within the scope of their practice and is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care activities in accordance with hospital standards in order to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care.

Shift Expectations: As needed shift coverage, at least 1 shift a month

Responsibilities:

The Mid-Level Practitioner performs at an advanced practice level, which shall include, but not be limited to:

  • Providing care to a selected population of patients
  • Manages the care of patients with medically complex problems that require advanced clinical skills
  • Enhancing patient care by integrating the competencies of clinical practice, education, consultation, and research
  • Communicating with physicians and other clinical staff

Requirements:

  • Post Graduate Degree in Nursing or Physician’s Assistant degree, with clinical specialization preparation to function in an expanded role
    • APRN or PA license in the State where the position is located
  • Minimum 1-3 years of clinical experience, preferably in med surg/ICU/ER
  • BLS-required upon hire
  • ACLS (upon hire or obtained within first 90 days)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Team, detail, and goal oriented
  • Positive, professional, and empathetic demeanor
