Full Job Description
Jackson, MS area: Looking for an energetic certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become part of an on-site employee Medical/Wellness Clinic for a large employer group. Five or more years experience preferred in Primary Care setting. Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. No nights, call or weekends.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive and/or focused physical examinations and health assessments
- Diagnose and treat chronic medical conditions as well as acute illnesses and injuries
- Perform DOT physicals/Pre-Employment physicals
- Manage Worker’s Compensation injuries
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work, imaging studies, and EKGs
- Medication management and other therapies as indicated
- Provide patient education that focuses on disease prevention, health promotion and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals when indicated
- Maintain accurate and current medical records using electronic health records systems
- Ensure quality, safe and effective patient care by adhering to current clinical practice guidelines and standards of care
