  • Highland Hospital is seeking a Full Time Ortho APP to join its growing team.

Candidates for this role would work 50% nights, 50% days. Days of the week are Tuesday-Thursday. Candidates would work a block of nights (for a few weeks) followed by a block of days, all being 12 hour shifts

Some duties include but are not limited to:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA) works in a collaborative relationship with the Chief of Orthopedics, Orthopedic Residents and Advanced Practice providers to deliver exceptional care to patients with musculoskeletal complaints evaluated at or admitted to Highland Hospital

The NP/PA is responsible for coordination of direct patient care, documentation of care delivered, adherence to hospital and nursing policies, procedures and practice standards, education of patients and staff, creation of Orthopedic Patient Protocols and pathways, Quality Assurance tracking and monitoring , assurance of service excellence, completion of state and hospital-required reviews of practice, and participation in performance improvement and other activities as required. Works within the scope of NP or PA practices in NY State.

Salary Range:
$93,000.00 – $119,642.00 annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Fulfilled the requirements to be a licensed PA or NP in NYS.
  • Experience: No experience required, though preferred.
  • License/Certification Required: ACLS preferred, BLS required.
  • Skills: Clinical Information System. Team will educate and orient provider to be able to perform fracture reductions, hip reductions, application and removal of casts, splinting, wound debridement, and nerve blocks as appropriate.
