Professional Care Medical Practices PC (“Professional Care”) is a private, physician founded, nationally accredited correctional health care practice.

Professional Care provides comprehensive medical & mental health care services in the state of New York.

Correctional health care is a unique, challenging, and exciting opportunity for today’s medical professional in that it provides the ability to truly utilize all of your learned medical skills and knowledge on a daily basis. It is the perfect hybrid of Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, and Addiction Medicine; providing care to an under-served, diverse, and truly appreciative patient population.

We are currently looking for a Part-Time or Per Diem, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team and provide on-site medical care at the Monroe County Jail in Rochester, NY.

Part Time position would be 16 to 24 hour/week position, one weekend per month (Saturday & Sunday) during normal dayshift hours. Shift Differential for weekend shift is also provided.

Per Diem position requires a minimum of 24 hours per month with just one weekend requirement.

Schedule would be 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts as options.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Board Certified.
  • Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York.
  • Maintain current DEA license.
  • Maintain active BLS (i.e. CPR) certification.
  • Maintain current Driver’s License.
