Full Job Description
University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to join our cardiology practice in our Central Region including Minneapolis, Fridley, and Maple Grove. The position will provide patients with expert patient care and coordination of services. They will assist the practice to improve patient satisfaction and enhance the quality of care provided to patients through increased access and coordinated services.
In This Role, You Will:
- Join a multidisciplinary team of Cardiologists (4 Electrophysiologists) and 18 Advanced Practice Providers (2 EP dedicated)
- The PA or NP provides and coordinates care for adults with cardiac diseases throughout the course of evaluation and treatment.
- Provides and manages care to adult patients for a wide range of services in EP including rhythm ablations, devices and Watchman
- Provides and coordinates continuity of care of pre and post procedure clinic follow up. This includes follow-up, providing information to referring physicians and institutions, and patient /family education.

Performs cardioversion, loop recorder, and tilt table procedures
- Performs inpatient consults, pre and post procedure care, and clinic follow up visits.
- This individual must show commitment to exemplary patient care.
- Manages patient care through appropriate use of available resources.
- Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served.
- Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)
