Job Summary
Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care team and work as a team with other care providers to ensure delivery of premium care to each and every patient. You’ll provide urgent care services including medical, orthopedic and minor surgical care; treatment for illnesses and injuries; physical examinations; laboratory and x-ray services.
This position primarily supports our Northfield and Lakeville Urgent Care locations, with occasional coverage in Farmington.
Compensation
We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations. The hourly wage range for this position is $53.49 – $75.52. This range reflects the base salary for this position.
Key Accountabilities

Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses

Order x-rays and labs to assist in evaluating and diagnosing illnesses and injuries

Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients

Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities

Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
Qualifications Physician Assistant
-
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

Current Physician Assistant License from the MN State Board of Medical Practice, in good standing

Certified as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA

Minimum of one year experience in acute care, family practice, emergency medicine or urgent care
Nurse Practitioner
-
Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Current RN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing, in good standing

Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Minnesota

Minimum of one year experience in acute care, family practice, emergency medicine or urgent care
Schedule
- 64 hours per two-week pay period
- Primarily supports Northfield/Lakeville Urgent Care locations, with occasional Farmington coverage.
- Rotating weekday shifts, days may vary; either 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.
- Every 4th weekend in Lakeville, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m
- Efforts will be made to move toward a block schedule as possible.
- Some minor holidays (Memorial Day, Labor Day, Christmas Eve); closed on major holidays (Easter, July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day)
