Job Description:
Key Position Details:
- The provider provides help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations in an outpatient practice providing care to complex adult patients
- This position is primarily centered within the Abbott Northwestern Center for Outpatient Care clinic located near the intersection if I-494 and Hwy 169 in Edina
- Will be responsible for Same Day visits
- Full time position
- 36 patient contact hours per week
- Position’s hours are generally Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm
- No call
- Team currently consists of 22 Internal Medicine providers
- Supportive and collaborative provider group
- Focused on provider well-being and having a work-life balance
- EMR: Excellian is one of the most comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems in the nation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience as an NP or PA in internal medicine. New grads will not be considered
- Certified/licensed Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) or Physician Assistant upon hire by the NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or MN Board of Medical Practice.
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program required
- ACLS-BLS Tier 2 – Multisource required within 180 Days
- Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire
Physical Demands Medium Work*: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently
