Fairview is a seeking Physician Assistant to join the Fairview Ridge’s Hospitalist team on a casual basis. Work potential day/evening and weekend shifts per your availability and staffing needs. Rotate and work on the Hospitalist Observation or the Inpatient admitting service (all new moonlighters will start in the Observation unit). Duties, depending on rotation and shift, will include admission H&Ps, rounding on patients, discharging patients, providing cross coverage. Work side by side with other physicians and APPs in a patient centered, collaborative team environment. Practice Details:
- The Observation Unit is staffed by APPs with physician oversight
- Each shift is 10-11 hours

- Day shift is 7:00am – 6:00 pm
- Evening is 2:00 pm – 12:00am
- Flexibility in this growing environment is essential
- Great technology including fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC), E-signature medical records and digital PACs imaging system

Qualifications:
- Must have at least 1 year experience in the hospital setting, preferably in Hospital Medicine
- Must be proficient in EPIC computing system
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- BC/BE through NCCPA
- Licensed or ability to obtain a PA license with prescriptive authority through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
