Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our HOMECARE healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics and acute care environments. The Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, ensuring comprehensive medical care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and medical guidelines.
• Manage acute pain management strategies for patients.
• Provide care for patients requiring hospice palliative medicine, ensuring comfort and quality of life.
• Document patient encounters accurately in medical records, adhering to ICD-9 coding standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level II Trauma Center to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist with family planning consultations and education for patients.
• Oversee the administration of DME (Durable Medical Equipment) as needed.
• Support tube feeding procedures for patients requiring nutritional assistance.

Experience

• Previous experience in outpatient settings is preferred, with a strong understanding of patient assessment protocols.
• Familiarity with hospice palliative medicine practices is advantageous.
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center is a plus.
• Proficiency in managing medical records and understanding ICD-9 coding is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $101,922.00 – $110,504.00 per year
