What You’ll Do
As a Physician Assistant at EPIC, you’ll deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, dynamic environment.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including physical exams and medical histories.
- Diagnose medical conditions and develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Prescribe medications and therapies with physician collaboration.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, EKGs, and lab results, to inform treatment decisions.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, including immunizations, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
Patient Education and Support
- Counsel patients and families on treatment regimens, health maintenance, and preventive care strategies.
- Provide guidance on family planning, normal growth, and disease management.
Team Collaboration and Supervision
- Work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of support staff, including technicians and assistants.
What You Bring
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active Michigan Physician Assistant (PA) license required.
- Education: Master’s degree from an accredited PA program.
- Experience: 2–5 years in primary care or pediatrics preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Expertise in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient-focused care.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
